MY BROTHER IS GAY

Dear Youth2Youth

I'm 14 years old and I have a problem. I'm not sure if you'll be able to help me but about 6 months ago my brother told my family that he is gay. I didn't really understand what this meant but my sister laughed at me when she thought I didn't understand so I just said what my parents told me, pretending that I understood. I was really curious so I asked my friend and she said that it meant my brother liked to have sex with men and it made me feel really sick. Now I can't look him in the face but I feel really bad because I know I'm supposed to be okay with it, and my brother keeps asking me what's wrong.

can't help it but I don't think it's right and I don't understand how this happened to my brother because I thought he was normal.

Please help me because I don't know how to get over this problem.
